As I understand it, those are magical guns, so it's not the same as a regular gun that shoots regular metal bullets. There's no ban on magic guns.

The reason regular guns are banned is so that people don't take them, put in iron bullets, and kill other fae. Her familiars turn into weapons with their own existing ammunition that is presumably not iron, so it wouldn't be a problem, since they presumably couldn't be loaded with iron.
